Bangladesh Officials Visit Korea to Study Disability Vocational Training
BUSAN, South Korea — A high-level delegation from Bangladesh's Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance visited the Busan Vocational Training Institute on Wednesday, November 12, to experience South Korea's advanced welfare policies and vocational skills development programs for persons with disabilities.
The 12-member delegation, which included Director Khairul Islam and Deputy Director Bhuiyan Mohammed Rezaur Rahman Siddique, is affiliated with the Skills for Industry and Competitiveness Innovation Program (SICIP), a major initiative by the Bangladeshi Finance Ministry aimed at cultivating skilled talent for industrial competitiveness.
The exchange meeting focused on sharing insights into Korea's disability employment policies and the current status of vocational training. The officials also toured the training institute to observe the facilities and programs firsthand. The visit underscores Bangladesh’s interest in adopting effective strategies to enhance the employability and skills of its population with disabilities.
